The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) stands as one of Greece’s largest and most prestigious academic institutions, with a long-standing tradition of excellence in education, research and innovation. With 10 faculties and 44 departments, including regional branches, AUTH hosts a vibrant academic community of approximately 42,000 students and over 2,300 teaching and research staff. This is further supported by a skilled administrative and technical workforce of over 1,400 members. AUTH actively engages in cutting-edge research across a broad spectrum of disciplines, spanning both theoretical and applied sciences. The university has extensive experience in coordinating, managing and implementing EU-funded research and innovation (R&I) projects, with a strong track record in multidisciplinary collaboration. AUTH’s fields of interest rest among others in key thematic areas including Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Agri-food Management, Precision and Sustainable Agriculture, Bioeconomy, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation, Agricultural Systems under Uncertainty and the Diffusion of Innovation. The university also maintains a strong Information Technology infrastructure, providing high-level computing, software and data management capabilities, along with access to national and international databases. These resources enable AUTH to effectively support digital knowledge-sharing and the implementation of IT-driven solutions. Moreover, AUTH has demonstrated excellence in capacity building and knowledge transfer through the organization of trainings and courses via its dedicated e-learning platform. With its holistic approach to research, education and innovation, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki plays a pivotal role in the ReGrow consortium, proudly serving as the Project Coordinator for the consortium and drawing upon its extensive experience in managing multilevel, international collaborations.
