Just weeks after its official launch, the ReGrow project has already begun making its presence felt — not only within partner institutions but across wider networks of agricultural, academic, and policy stakeholders.
From its first public presentation in an international press conference to its spotlight in a hybrid conference in Patras, ReGrow is actively engaging in discussions that matter. These early appearances have set the tone for what the project stands for: cooperation, innovation, and transformation in agricultural education.
The Online Press Conference Hosted by IACD
On March 5, 2025, ReGrow was officially introduced to a wider public during an online press conference hosted by the International Agricultural Cluster “Dnister” (IACD).
The event, coordinated by IACD and supported by the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, offered an important opportunity to share ReGrow’s vision: to strengthen agricultural education systems through a joint academic effort rooted in digital transformation, sustainability, and regional collaboration.
The presentation by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), ReGrow’s coordinating institution, laid out the project’s roadmap and strategic priorities. Representatives from key Ukrainian institutions — including Euroregion Dniester, Sumy National Agrarian University, Polissia National University, and Khmelnytskyi National University — contributed to a rich dialogue that reinforced the relevance of ReGrow’s objectives in the context of post-conflict recovery, capacity-building, and labour market alignment.
The press conference was more than an information session; it was a collaborative moment of exchange. It highlighted the collective commitment of regional institutions to rethink how agricultural knowledge is delivered and how academic partnerships can generate lasting change.
ReGrow at the SYMBEGA Conference
Less than a week later, ReGrow was on the road again — this time in Patras, Greece, at the hybrid conference of the SYMBEGA project on March 12, 2025. The SYMBEGA conference focused on digital agriculture, sustainability, and innovation in food systems — an ideal setting for ReGrow to share its goals.
Representing AUTH, Prof. Anastasios Michailidis and Dr. Aikaterini Paltaki delivered an engaging presentation outlining how ReGrow will develop a Joint MSc in Precision Agriculture, while strengthening academic capacity in both Georgia and Ukraine.
The presentation was met with enthusiasm and sparked conversations among educators, researchers, and stakeholders about how EU-funded cooperation projects can shape not just what is taught in classrooms — but how education systems adapt to the evolving needs of farming communities.
The ReGrow project may still be in its early stages, but the strong interest shown at both events demonstrates something critical: the relevance of its vision and the readiness of institutions to embrace reform.
Stay tuned as the conversation continues — and ReGrow takes further steps toward a smarter, greener, and more connected agricultural future.
